A Mexican trumpeter and actor, born in Jiquilpan, Michoacan, Mexico. He is considered the greatest trumpet player of all time. He excelled in Mexican folk, classical, and jazz music. He started playing the trumpet at the age of five and immigrated to the United States at the age of 20. He toured the United States and Europe for 25 years and appeared in films as an actor and musician. He married Amor Rodriguez, they had two children, and she stayed with him until his death. He's known for David Rose and His Orchestra (1954), The Ken Murray Show (1952), and All Star Revue (1952). He died of a heart attack in Encino, California, USA on September 15, 1981, at the age of 75.
