Clifford E. Charlesworth served as NASA's flight director during the Apollo space missions. He studied at Mississippi College and obtained a bachelor's degree in physics. He worked as a civil servant in the US Navy and also worked on the Army's Pershing missile before joining NASA in 1962. He appeared in the documentary film Apollo 11 (2019).
