An American actor, born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, USA as Boris Benjamin Grabowsky. Due to his height and big size, he often played the character of a gangster. He also worked for a long time in the theater and appeared on Broadway for the first time in 1937 and continued until 1945, then began his film and television career. In the late eighties, he retired and ran a restaurant in Arizona. He was married twice and had no children. Some of his notable works are The Buccaneer (1958), Piranha (1978), and Tower of London (1962). He died in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA on January 20, 2011, at age 94.
