An American actor, born in Brenham, Texas, USA. He danced and sang in vaudeville and in the legitimate theater before working in films in the early forties, and also appeared in some television shows. He's known for The Amos 'n Andy Show (1951-1953), Sunrise at Campobello (1960) and Mr. Peabody and the Mermaid (1948). He died in Altadena, California, USA on May 20, 1978, at age 87.
