An American science journalist, born in 1948 and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a collaborator to space scientist Carl Sagan. He moved to Toronto and produced numerous documentaries on topics such as NASA's Viking program and Halley's Comet. The International Astronomical Union officially named an asteroid (6446 Lomberg) in recognition of his achievements in the field of science communication. His credits include The Farthest (2017).
