An American film and television actress, born in Brooklyn, New York, USA. She graduated from Saint Brendan High School and a business college, and began her life as a model, then moved to Hollywood in 1949, and played many small roles with Paramount, Columbia and RKO before signing with MGM. She was an official pin-up girl for the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. She played supporting roles such as the secretary, the nurse and the maid. She did volunteer work in many fields, from union activities to hospitals and charities. She married actor J. Carlton Adair (1957-1993), they had two children, and he remained with her until his death. Among her notable works are Washington Story (1952), You for Me (1952) and The Electric Horseman (1979). She died in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on March 6, 2017, at age 95.
