A Northern Irish actor, born in Larne, United Kingdom. He studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art but left to join the Air Force during World War II. Later, he resumed his acting career after the war ended. He is known for The Notorious Landlady (1962) and Bonanza (1961). He was previously married to actress Joan Collins.
