A Canadian stage, film, and television actor, born in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia, Canada. He worked in theaters in Canada and New York and also presented Hollywood films. Among his notable works are D-Day the Sixth of June (1956), Thundering Fleas (1926), and Hong Kong (1960). He died in Los Angeles, California, on March 24, 2000, at age 82.
