He was an American actor, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. He joined the end of the silent era of cinema and continued to work after the introduction of sound into films. He provided supporting and additional roles. His most important works include Smashing the Money Ring (1939), There He Goes (1928), and Comet Over Broadway (1938). He died in Los Angeles, California, USA, on March 7, 1954, following a heart attack, at the age of 66 years.
