He was an American actor, born in Manhattan, New York, USA. He previously worked in Vaudeville with his wife, Iva, and was famous for his resemblance to the Italian fascist dictator Mussolini. He played his role in three films during World War II. His most important works include Dick Tracy (1950), Nazty Nuisance (1943), and The Flame of New Orleans (1941). He died in Burbank, California, USA, on October 1, 1973, at the age of 79 years.
