American actor, born in Oakland, California, USA. His career in Hollywood lasted from the 1930s to the 1970s. He studied Japanese at the University of California in order to get ready for Japanese roles. He also obtained a pilot's license at that time and participated in the US Navy during World War II. He is known for The Party (1968), Terry and the Pirates (1940), and Murder by Television (1935). He was married to Toshia Mori and Helen Yu-Ling Wong. He died at the age of 73 on September 12, 1982, in Los Angeles, California, USA.
