A German actor, born in Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. He began his artistic career with theatrical work in Berlin. He was married to the actress Sibyl Ritz, but they had no children. Among his most important works are Lost Daughter (1949) and The Blue Max (1966). Hugo died in London, England.
