He trained in acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama. John Louis Mansi served in the Merchant Marine and Royal Air Force during World War II. His credits include The Woman in White (1966), Department S (1969-1970), The Italian Job (1969), and Allo Allo (1982). He died in Berwick, East Sussex, England, United Kingdom, on August 6, 2010, from lung cancer at the age of 83.
