An Egyptian-born French film actress, who appeared in a few British B films during the 1950s. She was born in Cairo, Egypt, to French and Italian parents. She was married to James Silver (1946-1954) and their marriage ended in divorce. Among her most important works are Desperate Moment (1953), Escape by Night (1953), South of Algiers (1953), and Third Party Risk (1954). She began her career in England, by showing sexy pictures of herself, then participated in films. When her weight began to increase, she followed a strict diet. At the Cannes Film Festival in 1954, she received the honorary title of Miss Festival. She was forced to return to England, to work in British cinema and television. Simone was found dead in her apartment in Mayfair, London, England, United Kingdom on November 30, 1957, due to a stroke from following a harsh diet for a long time, at the age of 29 years.
