An English actor, who had a long career in television and wide theatrical fame, he toured theatrically throughout Britain and Europe. He trained in theater at the Rose Bruford College and played a series of roles of policemen, military men, and officials in cinema. He also participated in a large number of drama works and comedy series on television. Charles Pemberton died in London, England, United Kingdom, on May 13, 2007, from cancer at the age of 67. Among his most important works are The Professionals (1978-1980), The Four Feathers (2002), Doctor Who (1967-1969), and Sapphire & Steel (1979).
