An American actress in theatre, film, and television, born in Los Angeles, California, USA. She was married to the actor, director, and producer Cedric Hardwicke (1950-1961) and they had a child before getting divorced. Among her most important works are The Prudential Family Playhouse (1956), Matinee Theater (1955-1957), Philo Vance Returns (1947), and Johnny Cool (1963). She understudied Lili Palmer in a Broadway production of Caesar and Cleopatra in the late 1940s and thus met Sir Cedric Hardwicke, whom she later married. In cinema and television, she played supporting and additional roles such as receptionist, nurse, maid, waitress, cigarette seller, and party host. She died in Riverside County, California, USA, on April 22, 2009, at the age of 87.
