He was also a professional boxer, and he fought in World War II, then worked in radio and television programs in Australia, then moved to the United States and worked in cinema. His notable films include Our Man Flint (1966), The Body Stealers (1969), and Outlaw Force (1987). He was married once to a woman named Patricia, and they remained together until he died on November 22, 2001, in Los Angeles, California, USA.
