A British actor, director, and theater producer, born in Manchester, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom, to Russian Jewish parents. He moved with his family to Northern Ireland, where he grew up in Belfast. He married Lillie Rosenzwoig and they had two children. Among his most important works are The Man Who Finally Died (1959), A Night to Remember (1958), and Doctor Who (1973). Harold Goldblatt founded the Jewish Institute Dramatic Society, then founded the Ulster Theatre Company, worked on radio, and appeared in film and television. He died in London, England, United Kingdom, on April 22, 1982, at the age of 82.
