He also worked as a model in the 1960s at the UK's top modeling agency. Born the eldest of seven children, Aidan graduated from Latymer School in 1946 and from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in 1950. He began his career singing in the troupe of the historic Palace Theatre, where he was discovered for a film career. Until the mid-1950s, he was considered one of the promising stars of tomorrow. He is best known for his extensive work in British and American theater. He retired in 2012 and devoted himself to oil painting, charitable and religious causes, dividing his time between his three homes in Dublin, England, and California. Aidan Harrington died in Blackrock, County Dublin, Ireland, on February 4, 2017, at the age of 88.
