An American actor, musician, and set designer, born in Fort Collins, USA. He studied art at the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles. He was a camouflage consultant for the US Army during World War II, in addition to his fame working for the Walt Disney Company. Among his works are Captain Blood (1935), The Life of Emile Zola (1937), Casablanca (1942), and Fantastic Voyage (1966). He died of heart failure in Palm Springs, USA. He was posthumously named a Disney Legend in 1993.
