In a poll held by to choose the best comedy series that aired this past Ramadan, “A’yzah Atgawiz” came out on top following a heated contest. The series starred Hend Sabry with Ghada A’bd Al A’al contributing the screenplay while the directing was done by Ramy Imam. In the poll, the series received 586 votes, that is 33% of the total number of votes. “Al Kabeer Awy” (“Big Guy”), a television production in which Ahmed Mekky assumed the leading role was a close runner up. The directing for that series was done by Islam Kheiry. The production received 560 votes, or 31.55% of the total. Third place went to “Azmat Sukkar” (“Sugar Crisis”) in which Ahmad Eid assumed the leading role. The screenplay and dialogue for that production was contributed by Magdy Al Kadash while the directing was done by Ahmad Al Badry. The series received 342 votes, or 19% of the total number of votes. The poll ran for 10 days and saw the participation of ten thousand, seven hundred and seventy-six participants. Among the other series featured as choices in the poll were “Al Liss wa Al Kitab” (“The Thief and the Book”) and “Al Foraigy”.
