Several performers have expressed their sorrow for not participating in “Liqaa Mustaheel” (“An Impossible Interview”), a show that was aired on “Al Hayyah” channel during the course of the month of Ramadan. On the show, performers assumed the character of a global figure and portrayed him in an interview that is in fact impossible to conduct in reality seeing as those figures are now deceased. First among the performers to express that sentiment was Kareem A’bd Al A’ziz who could not participate in the show due to the fact that he was preparing to shoot his latest film “Fassil wa Nowassil” (“Continued after the Break”). Thus, Kareem has stated that he would have liked to assume the character of the departed Libyan leader U’mar Al Mukhtar. The performer Ahmed E’zz voiced a similar response, stating that he would have liked to present the persona of Tareq ibn Ziad but could not do so due to the fact that his involvement in some works forced him to decline an offer to participate in the show. Hend Sabry accepted an offer to participate in the program and intended to portray the character of Egyptian artist Dalida. However, Hend’s involvement in the shooting of the television series “A’izah Atgawiz” (“I Want to get Married”) which is currently being aired on satellite channels prevented her from taking part in the show.
