Satellite and airwave channels are preparing to broadcast 15 new television series in the coming days and weeks. Most of the shows were originally intended to be aired during the previous month of Ramadan but couldn’t make it as part of the Ramadan marathon for varied reasons. Some were delayed because shooting was still in progress while others were not aired because the relevant television channels were not keen to enter into contracts with their producers. Moreover, still others were not aired because their makers did not wish to air them at a time when the airwaves were crammed with so much other material.Among the upcoming television series which will be aired soon (and thus after the holy month of Ramadan) are: Ghada A’adel’s “Farah Al ‘Oumda” (“The Mayor’s Wedding), Nour El Sherif’s “Al Daly” and Teem Hassan’s “A’bed Karman”.Those three series were intended to be broadcast during the month of Ramadan but were withdrawn at the last moment. Some of the other shows that will also be broadcast are: Mamdouh A’bd Al A’leem’s “Haz Al Hilal ya Sayyid” (“He Shook the Crescent”), Rania Farid Shawqi’s “Al Sayf Al Maddi” (“Last Summer”), Rania Youssef’s “Ayam Al Houb wa Al Shaqawa” (“Times of Love and Mischief”), Hussein Fahmy and May Selim’s “Al Maktoub A’la Al Gabeen” (“What’s Written on the Brow”) and Lamis Hamdan’s “Al A’nidah” (“The Stubborn One”) among other productions.
