Egyptian television has contracted to buy “Firqat Nagi A’taa Allah” (“Nagi’s Group”) that stars A’del Imam and “Ramadan Mabrouk Abu Al ‘Alamein Hamouda” which stars Mohamed Heneidy. The two shows were produced by the Synergy company that is owned by Tamer Morsy. They were bought for the same price – 12 million Egyptian pounds – and the network intends to air them on the following month of Ramadan. It would seem that Eng. Ussama Al Sheikh was quite determined to acquire the two television series after he had failed to obtain Yahya Al Fakhrany’s “Mohamed A’li” , Carol Samaha’s “Al Shahroura”, and Nour El Sherif’s “Bayn Al Shawtayn” (“Between Halves”) – television series which were instead bought by “Al Haya” television. Moreoever, Al Sheikh learned of Al Haya’s intention to acquire Heneidy and Imam’s shows and thus took steps to purchase the two shows first, ahead of “Al Haya”.Eng. Ussama Al Sheikh has asserted that efforts to buy the two shows are being conducted through the “Sawt Al Qahira” company and that he is not involved in the proceedings, adding that he has no idea with regards to the prices paid.Tamer Hosny has confirmed that he has signed a contract to hand over A’del Imam’s latest show and that he is negotiating a contract for Mohamed Heneidy’s series – however, he has chosen not to disclose the amounts of money paid. Tamer Hosny has also declined to mention whether or not the same price is being charged for the two works. Nonetheless, another source has stated that the Egyptian television network has bought both shows for one price that was settled at 12 million pounds.
