A’del Imam: “Malika fee Al Manfa” (“Queen in Exile”) and “Al Malik Farouq” (“King Farouq”) Represent a Fraudulent Rewriting of History

In a discussion with colleague Ayman Al Hakeem concerning Gamal A’bd Al Nasser and the July Revolution that aired on several talk shows on Thursday, Imam stated that there exist several television series that misrepresent historical circumstances – to this end Imam explicitly mentioned “Malika fee Al Manfa” and “Al Malik Farouq”. A’del Imam added that monarchists have been lying with regards to historical facts and that prior to the revolution the country was at rock-bottom with the vast majority of people unable to lead proper lives.Imam moreover called on people not to believe the portrayals depicted in those two television series, describing such depictions as historical fabrications that convey faulty impressions to today’s youths.
