Hassan Housny: Art is not restricted by National Boundaries

Actor Hassan Housny has expressed his delight in participating in the Syrian television production “Say’een Day’een” (“Vagabonds”) which is directed by Mustafa Ne’ma. To this end Hassan has added that art is not restricted by national boundaries. Hassan has added that this will be his first acting experience in a Syrian drama and that it represents the first stage of wider cooperation on other works which was planned during a visit to Egypt by the production’s Syrian director and producer.Housny has further added: “the work is a light hearted comedy and I am joined by Syrian actors with an affable nature so that in their midst we have altogether become vagabonds in reality”. Housny has indicated that his role is that of an assistant working in the army during the union between Syria and Egypt. Housny’s character is retired and married to a Syrian woman – hilarious standoffs follow suit.
