Al Sabky is to Continue Shooting “Al Feel” (“The Elephant”) in Jordan due to his Fondness of King Abdullah

At the present time the filming of scenes of the title “Al Feel fee Al Mandeel” (“An Elephant in a Napkin”) is ongoing at different locations within the Jordanian capital A’mman. The productions features performances by Tala’at Zakariyeh, Youssif Sha’ban and Reem Al Baroudy. The directing duties were assumed by Ahmed Al Badry. Shooting began on Friday at the Rainbow neighborhood and thereafter the set was moved to a villa and other neighborhoods within A’mman. The film’s producer, Ahmed Al Sabky, has stated that he chose Jordan as the filming location due to his love of that country and in particular his fondness of King Abdullah II and the Jordanian people. Moreover the availability of locations suitable for filming also helped sway his decision. The production is expected to be ready for theaters in time for the mid-year school holiday.Al Sabky has added that he hopes that the film will achieve high returns much like the other movies he has produced. Al Sabky further expressed that he tries to keep in touch with the common folk and their populist surroundings. It was this relationship that helped him present Mohamed Sa’ad in the role of “Al Limby” and what followed in terms of productions that achieved record returns at the box office. Similar circumstances surrounded Tamer Housny’s portrayals.Al Sabky has added furthermore that as long as a production achieves high commercial returns then it ought to be considered a success. This is because popular viewership should be considered the most important measure of a film’s worth. In the same vein, Al Sabky has indicated that the opinions of critics and committees does not concern him.
