A’del Imam, known as Al Za’eem, has nominated two Syrian performers, Kandah A’loush and Nadine Salameh to star alongside him in his long anticipated series “Firqat Naggy A’t Allah” (“Naggy A't Allah's Crew”). One of the nominees will be chosen following a workshop which A’del Imam will hold with his son, Ramy Imam, who is currently the favorite to direct the work. Producer Saffwat Ghattas will also take part in these workshops. This recent departure from selecting Egyptian female performers comes due to the fact that Egyptian actresses have raised their requested salaries to an extent that cannot be reconciled with the production’s budget. Worthy of note is that filming will begin in following month after Ramy Imam scouts filming locations in Syria and Lebanon. The film portrays an Egyptian diplomat stationed in Israel who decides to rob a bank in that country following his resignations. Thus the former diplomat recruits a band of Egyptians in order to pull off the heist. The screenplay for “Firqat Naggy A’t Allah” was authored by Youssef Al Mu’atty. The title will feature the performances of Mohamed A’del Imam, A’mr Ramzy, A’mr Youssif, Niddal Al Shafe’i and Amgad A’bid.
