Musician Souma Gets Engaged to A’li, Son of Former Music Director

The young musician Souma has made public news of her engagement to one of her colleagues at the Cairo Opera House - violinist “Moustafa Amin” who is the son of the late musical director Helmy Amin. Souma released her second album “Dah Habiby” (“There is my Sweetheart”) in the summer of 2010 following a four year hiatus. The album consists of eight singles, each of which employ unique musical methods. In order to create and release her latest album Souma worked with a number of lyricists, composers and distributors including Nasr Mahrous who contributed the lyrics to three of the songs included in the album. Souma also worked with the poet Hassan Mahran and the composers Walid Sa’ad and A’ziz Al Shafe’i. She also collaborated with distributors Amir Mahrous and Ahmed Ibrahim.
