Mohsen Gabber Denies Accounts that He Has Fielded Tammer Housny to Counter A’mr Diab

Producer Mohsen Gabber has denied accounts that he is attempting to curb A’mr Diab’s success, the previous commercial face for his record label, by fielding Tammer Housny – his record label’s current face. Mohsen Gabber has maintained that the friendship between A’mr Diab and himself continues and that their differing interests does not have to imply conflict and enmity.Gabber has confirmed that Tamer Housny is in fact the commercial face of his record label due to his achieving the company’s highest sales in 2010. Despite this Gabber has added that Tamer does not involve himself in the label’s decisions.Gabber also expressed his pleasure at the recent decision by Minister of Culture Farouq Housny to shut down all websites that violate intellectual property rights. Gabber adds that this could lead to a rebound in record sales in 2011 after they were quite weak in 2010.
