O’ula Ghanem and “Al Talaba” (“The Students”) are in Trouble

O’ula Ghanem was recently nominated for a role on the television series “Ehna Al Talaba” (“We the Students”), a work produced by the Panorama group for Ramadan 2011. O’ula has been cast in the role of a famous musician that finds herself in the midst of several difficulties due to her involvement with one of the students.Musician Ahmed Sa’ad has also been nominated for a part on the show and such a role would represent his debut in a TV drama. Other figures whose names have been put forward for roles on the television show include Ahmed A’zmy, Mohamed Ramadan, Mohamed Nagatty, Reem Al Baroudy, Madeleine Taber and Samah Al Shagee’. The series “Ehna Talaba” is directed by Mohamed Hamdy and utilizes a script that was penned by Ahmed E’issa. The show relates the story of a group of students who have failed at college and thereby decide to form a crime ring in order to make ends meet. Filming is expected to take place at several locations in Cairo and within the campuses of private universities. Worthy of note is that O’ula Ghanem’s most recent role in a TV drama was in the series “Al A’ar” (“The Shame”) which aired in Ramadan 2010. That production featured the talents of Mostafa Sha’aban, Ahmed Rezk, Durra and Shereef Salama. The screenplay was credited to Ahmed Mahmoud Abou Zeid while Shereen A’del directed the production.
