Nancy A’gram Holds a Women Only Concert

Lebanese musician Nancy A’gram has held a women only concert yesterday, Friday. The concert took place in the emirate of Abu Dhabi and specifically at the Grand Exhibition Hall. The event was held as part of the celebrations on the occasion of the wedding of a member of the al-Husseiny - one of the Emirate’s most influential families. The gender segregation occurred in accordance with prevailing customs in that part of the world. Thereby a men only concert was held on the 4th of January and saw the participation of Gulf musician Rashed el-Majjid. Nancy A’gram sang at the women’s concert.The performance began at 9 in the evening. Nancy arrived at 10:30 and continued singing until midnight. Whilst taking part in the concert, Nancy A’gram presented a number of varied songs which included “Sheikh al-Shabab” (“Chief of the Youths”), “Ehssas Gaddid” (“A New Feeling”), “Beteegy Seertak” (“You Were Mentioned”), “Ya Kathr”, “Khafif A’lay Shweya” (“Take it Easy on Me”), “Hekayat Al Donya” (“Tales”), “Rah Aqollak Keif” (“I’ll Tell You How”), “Saherny Sahr”, “Mushtaqa Leik” (“I Miss You”), “Mashy Haddy” and “al-Donya Haddy”.
