Performer Jummana Murad has expressed her annoyance at actor Shereef Mounir due to the latter’s statements which were published in newspapers recently in which he has attributed the failure of the cinema title “al-Shayyatin” (“The Devils”) – which featured the performance of Jummana – to the lack of female performers that could attract the audience’s attention. Jummana considers those comments an insult and believes that they belittle her talents.Nonetheless, Jummana has expressed her pleasure at the fact that she is currently undergoing an active period with regards to her career as she has just completed shooting her part in the film “Kaff al-Qammar” (“Palm of the Moon”) which was directed by Khaled Youssif. In her role in that title the actress portrays a girl from the Cairo district of A’bdeen. Jummana is also preparing to present the leading role in the television drama “Ahl al-Iskandariyah” (“Alexandria’s People”). That title utilizes a screenplay that was authored by Balal Fadl, it is also directed by Mohamed A’ly and produced by Mahmoud Baraka. Hisham Selim will also assume a leading role in the series alongside Jummana.Jummana is also undertaking preparations to commence shooting another television production titled “Sa’ah wa Nisf” (“An Hour and a Half”) in the coming month of March. Aside from Jummana, the work also features the talents of Nelly Karim, Fathy A’bd Al Wahab, Salah A’bd Allah, Ahmed Bedeir, Hassan Housny and Karima Moukhtar. The production utilizes a screenplay that was authored by Ahmed A’bd Allah. Moroever, Mohamed A’ly directs the work.
