Director Manal al-Saiffy is waiting for Hanan Tourk to complete shooting her scenes in “al-Maslaha” (“The Asylum”) where the latter appears alongside Ahmed el-Sekka and Ahmed E’zz in a production is directed by Sandra Nashaat. Thus Manal is awaiting the conclusion of that project so that she could commence practice runs for the new drama “Rassayil” (“Messages”), which would represent the filmmaker’s first experience directing a TV drama. Hanan Tourk is slated to play the leading role in that title. Manal has been spending this interim period scouting film locations at the ports of Aqaba and Halayyib. Screenwriter Mohamed Solayman has completed the screenplays for approximately half of the series’ episodes. Manal al-Saiffy has expressed her enthusiasm and high regard for the content of the series which unfolds within a context packed with excitement and thrill. The director has asserted that the content is unprecedented with regards to television dramas and is more traditional of cinema works.“Rassayil” is produced by Radio One and features the talents of Ahmed Sa’eed A’bd Al Ghany, Amira al-A’iady, Ehab Fahmy, Amal Rezk, Tareq A’bd Al A’ziz, A’bd Al Rahman Abou Zahra and Ragaa al-Gaddawy. The work represents the second collaboration between Hanan Tourk and Manal al-Saify following the cinema title “Muntaha al-Lazza” (“Ultimate Pleasure”).
