Performer Arwa Goudah has taken part in demonstration held at Tahrir in the company of a large number of her colleagues. The artist was present at Tahrir last Friday, a day which was dubbed the “Friday of Departure”. The day witnessed protests by more than 2 million Egyptian whom Mohamed Hassanein Heykal has described as the “the country’s most noble”.Arwa was amongst the cohort described by Heykal and spent nine hours at the square where protests where centered, a location which the artist has described as “Freedom Square”. Upon her return the performer posted an announcement on her facebook page where she wrote: “I can confirm that everyone assembled is peaceful, I met several Christian protesters and I also met several journalists and photographers. Everyone there is respectable in their conduct.”
