Helmy Suffers a Brief Fainting Spell while Protesting at Tahrir Square

Artist Ahmed Helmy has found himself overwhelmed by the severe congestion at Tahrir Square where the number of demonstrators had exceeded two million. Thus Helmy suffered a brief fainting spell whereupon he was taken to a nearby mosque on Qasr al-‘Ayny street. There he received first-aid treatment and subsequently regained consciousness.Helmy went to Tahrir in the company of his wife actress Mona Zakky in order to show solidarity for protesters camped at the square and to partake in the popular revolt which calls for the ousting of the present regime.
