In a statement to the “al-Yawm al-Sab’” newspaper, director Sa’ad Hendawy has said that the revolution of the 25th of January is the noblest and purest of all revolutions witnessed by Egypt which seek to oust corrupt regimes. Hendawy also stated that it would be a mistake for protesters to abandon Tahrir adding that that would mean that the regime would not concede to further demands.Hendawy was also critical of artists that were ambivalent in their opinions and “ride the wave of the youths.” To this effect Hendawy has added: “There were several performers who initially joined us in demonstrations but later changed their positions in favor of the regime.”
