Hanan Motawi’e Glad that Mubarak Has Stepped Down and that Ashraf Zakky has Resigned

Actress Hanan Motawi’e has expressed her happiness with regards to Ashraf Zakky’s resigning from his post as head of the Acting Syndicate. The actress has explained that she does not wish to gloat but that Zakky did not represent the views of actors in her opinion. To this effect she has said furthermore that actors reflect the voice of the nation and added that she was herself present at Tahrir Square and was shocked at initial indications that Mubarak would not resign.Hanan then added: “Following that address I saw protesters increasing in resolve whereby they chanted: on Friday afternoon we will make our way to the presidential palace.” Hanan also referenced the day when Mubarak’s resignation was announced and said that it was a night that she will never forget her whole life as she celebrated on Cairo streets with her friend actress Reham ‘Abd Al Ghafour into the early hours of the morning.
