Mounir’s Tahrir Concert Delayed

Musician Mohamed Mounir has delayed his concert which was scheduled to be held at Tahrir Square on Tuesday, the 15th February. The concert was intended as a sort of celebration for the success of the Egyptian revolution. Mounir did not disclose the reasons behind the delay however some sources have indicated that the delay is linked to the military’s wish that massive congregations at Tahrir be avoided so that life there could return to normal.A source close to Mounir has confirmed that the concert was not cancelled but was rather simply delyed. The concert is now scheduled to take place some time during the upcoming two remaining weeks of February.
