Actress ‘Ola Ghanem has excused herself from a proposed role in the television series “Ehna Talaba” (“We’re Students”) due to what she has referred to as deficiencies in the screenplay. The actress explained that her role in the screenplay does not contribute to her career particularly following the success of her role in the television series “al-‘Aar” (“The Shame”) which was praised by audiences and critics.Ghanem further added that she is preparing for a role in the series “al-Saf’ah” with producer Tamer Hosny and director Magdy Abou ‘Umeira. The series will feature the performances of Shereef Mounir and Mohamed Ragab. ‘Ola is also studying the screenplay for another movie but has declined disclosing any details pending her signing a contract.Worthy of note is that ‘Ola Ghanem’s most recent cinematic work was the film “Ahasees” (“Sensations”) which was released at the beginning of 2010. That production starred Bassem Samra and was directed by Hany Girgis Fawzy.
