Following an extended pause that was caused by the events of the Egyptian Revolution, artist Mohamed Heneidy is to resume film work on his new television series “Ramadan Mubarak Abou ‘Alamein Hamouda” towards the middle of the upcoming month of March.Producer Tamer Housny has stated that during the pause from filming he met with director Sameh ‘Abd Al ‘Aziz in order to agree on a date for the resumption of film work. Tamer has also confirmed that work on the film would not be delayed any longer. A figure of 60 million pounds had been allocated for the film’s budget and it should also be noted that most of the scenes of the film will be shot across several European countries. The screenplay for the film was authored by Youssif Mu’atty. The work was directed by Sameh ‘Abd Al ‘Aziz and it is an adaptation of Mohamed Heneidy’s 2008 film of the same title. That film title was written by Youssif Mu’atty, directed by Wael Ehsan and featured performances by Lebanese musician Sereen ‘Abd Al Nour, ‘Ezzat Abou ‘Ouf, Layla Taher and Edward. It should be noted that the title of the series could be changed to “Messyo Ramadan” as per Youssif Mu’atty’s suggestion. However this matter is yet to be settled.
