The January revolution sees Tal’aat Harb return to life.

Screenwriter Mohamed Sayyid ‘Eid has announced that he has agreed with the Media Production City to produce a biographical work about a personality who was important to the founding of the modern Egyptian economy, Tal’at Harb. The same figure has also been considered a national symbol since the early 20th century when Egypt became inspired by his experiences and ideas through the national renaissance which he led. These old concepts have reacquired some of their importance as the present revolution seeks to readopt older understandings. ‘Eid believes that biographical works about national figures cold inspire present day youths. The screenwriter has made this theme a focus of his career as he previously presented the series “Qasim Ameen” whih was about a figure who was key to the women’s movement. Moreover his last series “Ragol li Haza al-Zaman” (“A Man for this Age”) discussed the life of Egyptian scientist Mostafa Mashrafa.
