Amira Fathy takes part in a demonstration supporting the nomination of Shafiq for the presidency

Amira Fathy was perhaps the only artist to take part in a demonstration supporting the nomination of Ahmed Shafiq for the presidency. The demonstration brought together a group of citizens who protested in front of the former prime minister’s home in Ard el-Golf. Amira Fathy affirmed that she is not politically savvy and is not involved in politics, however she nonetheless explained that she took part in the demonstration to show her respect for the political figure.
