Actor Kareem ‘Abd Al ‘Azeez has left the intensive care unit at a London hospital where he had been receiving treatment. The actor left the unit after eight minor infarctions in his lung were treated and his health improved markedly. In a statement to the al-Masry al-Youm newspaper Kareem affirmed that he had left the intensive care unit two days ago and that he now feels an improvement in his health after having passed the most difficult and dangerous stage over the past few days.Kareem attributed the infarctions to hereditary factors as he affirmed that his father, director Mohamed ‘Abd Al ‘Azeez, had undergone the same experience about twenty years ago. With regards to his return to Egypt Kareem has stated that he is awaiting the doctors’ permission to do so and has indicated that he will remain under observation for two weeks so that doctors could remove all doubts with regards to the stability of his condition.
