Musician George Youssif entered the Tony Saba studio on Tuesday in order to record a new song intended as a “loyalty deposit” for Syrian president Bashar al-Assad following the unrest which has taken place in that country.It should be noted that Youssif is of Syrian origin but resides in Lebanon. The artist composed the tune for the song which is slated for introduction in the Love and Peace festival in the coastal Syrian city of Latakia in the near future.Last year had also witnessed Youssif present a song for the Syrian president in that same festival, the song was titled “Ya Bashar Ya Habib al-Malayin” (“Oh Bashar, Beloved of Millions”). Reports have indicated that Youssif will shoot a video clip for the song in Syria and it is expected that Walid Nassif will oversee the direction of the clip.
