Artist Bushra has returned from the United States where she was attending the New Directors/New Films Festival where her film, “678”, was taking part. The screenplay for that film is credited to Mohamed Diab who also directed the work. Moreover the film also featured performances by Nelly Karim, Maged al-Kadwany and Ahmed al-Fishawy. “678” tackles the problem of sexual harassment which women in Egypt and in other parts of the Arab World are exposed to. The title garnered a great deal of praise during its period of screening and was well received by both audiences and critics. Moreover the title contributed strongly to the enactment of a law specifying severe punishment for harassment.Bushra affirmed that the work was well received at the festival and added that on Saturday she will resume filming her scenes for the new film “Gidoo Habiby” (“Dear Grandfather”) at the al-Maghraby studio in participation with Ahmed Fahmy, Mahmoud Yasseen, Lubna ‘Abd Al ‘Azeez and director ‘Ali Idrees.
