The venue will be up to global standards and will feature 3-D digital technology thereby mimicking the largest and best known cinema halls internationally in terms of sound, image and architecture. This large and unprecedented project in Iraq seeks to bring Iraqi families back to cinema halls in a regular manner for screening which suit Iraqi tastes. Such families would be eager to visit such venues after their absence from the scene for decades. The Turkish company “Omega” was responsible for preparing the new Iraqi cinema hall. It should also be noted that the screenings will follow a daily schedule in order to provide Iraqi viewers with the latest in terms of different international film titles through a contract with global cinema distributors. Moreover the management of “Iraqi Cinema” will dedicate morning screenings for children in keeping with the belief that a return to culture begins with children. All appropriate means will be utilized in order to make available the suitable context to allow the character of the Iraqi child to grow through screenings of cartoons which are fitting for the child’s character and mentality.
