Ashraf Abdul Ghaffour was chosen head of Acting Professions’ Syndicate with a large margin of 513 votes over his nearest rival. He gathered 846 votes, the former head of the Syndicate, Ashraf Zaky got 333 votes, while Ahmad Maaher came third with 98 votes leaving the bottom of the list for Heshaam Bahaa-eddeen with only 8 votes.According to al-Wafd newspaper, Ashraf Abdul Ghafour confirmed, just after announcing his victory, that the January 25 Revolution is the main reason that helped him winning and dreaming of a bright future for the syndicate. He added that the Revolution is the catalyst that will help the syndicate to promote all the acting professions and work to achieve the benefit of its members through the board, hoping to return its missing leadership.
