‘Ezzat Abu-‘Auf: I want to play Safwat al-Shereef or Zakareyya ‘Azmy

Actor ‘Ezzat Abu-‘Auf said that he is waiting for his film “Odtein we saala i.e. Two rooms and a reception” to appear in theatres especially that the film is directed by his daughter Mariam. He is also waiting to broadcast his TV series during the month of Ramadaan “Carioca”, starring Wafaa ‘Aamer.Abu-‘Auf explained that despite the drop in artistic production in general after the January 25 Revolution, he had decided before the revolution to slow down due to the big number of roles offered to him at the same time, which is not considered useful for the artist, it's better to focus on fewer number of roles.About the character he wishes to play in contribution with the former Regime, he said: “I really think of playing Safwat al-Shereef or Zakareyya ‘Azmy, these two are full of drama and when I find a suitable production opportunity, I will not hesitate to play one of them. Playing such roles provides rich drama and a flow of events, I will try my best to embody the character with a different perspective carrying more honesty and fairness, and I will not be judgmental”.
