Source: AgenciesDirector Khaaled Youssef is preparing to make a film about al-Andalus State by next December, to fulfill a dream of his after more than two years of thinking and search for funding.Khaaled Youssef said that the film deals with the history of al-Andalus from the beginning until the last King, Abu-Abdullaah Muhammad ebn-‘Aly. Focusing on the last period of al-Andalus Empire, how the Arab state in Spain was disintegrated and what how did King ebn-‘Aly hand the last cities of the Great Empire to Crusaders.The film shows the cultural, intellectual and enlightening role of the state of al-Andalus and how the Empire was the most important source for science and scientists from all over the world during that period.Khaaled Youssef said: “The problems facing the film lie in the financial means needed to fund the production and secure the actors’ wages. However, it was possible to come to an agreement with Egyptian and Moroccan producers.Noteworthy, Khaaled Youssef was a guest of honor at the Martil International Film Festival in Morocco, as part of the Moroccan honoring to the great January 25 Revolution of Egypt. It is expected to screen his latest film “Kaff al-kamar i.e. The palm of the moon” in theatres, written by Naasser Abdul Rahmaan and starring Joumaana Mouraad, Khaaled Saaleh, Ghada Abdul Raazek, Haitham Zaky and Wafaa ‘Aamer.
